As required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, we are informing our water customers of the following violation.
This violation is from new standards dealing with a chemical compound that is a by-product of our chlorination disinfectant process. The compound, trihalomethane (THMs), is formed when chlorine reacts with dissolved organics in raw water.
