With the recent rains and mosquito season fast approaching, the City of Sallisaw would like to remind everyone about preventing mosquito habitats.
An important part of mosquito control is making sure they do not have a place to lay their eggs. Because mosquitoes need water water for two stages of their life cycle it is important to monitor standing water sources.
-Get rid of standing water in gutters, old tires, buckets, toys, etc...
-Empty and change water in bird baths, fountains and wading pools
-Fill in holes that hold water
-Keep swimming pools treated and circulating
